{Bloody Hungry} Warrior based book.

Rainfoot hissed in fury as Rosepaw slashed Gravelpaw's shoulder open. "You are not supposed to use your claws! Next time you can sit out during battle training!" She called out to her apprentice.

Rosepaw rolled her amber optics and kept fighting, this time her claws sheathed. As the two apprentices battled on, Rainfoot sat down next to Robinwing. "Poor Gravelpaw."

Rainfoot mumbled. "Well, maybe you should train Rosepaw not to be so violent!" Robinwing snapped, her eyes trained on the ruthless apprentice.

"I would much rather be a medicine cat, you already know this." Rainfoot snapped at her friend. It only seemed moons ago when Rainfoot was forced to become a warrior instead of her lifelong dream of becoming a medicine cat. Thunderclan demanded more warriors since Shadowclan had invaded, although the clans still at war, the demand for warriors was lower.

“Stop whining, being a warrior is so much better." Robinmask purred. Looking away from her, Rainfoot studied her apprentice carefully.

"Isn't it about time we head back and ask Fallenstar about their warrior names?" She asked quietly.

"I assume, I'll stop the fight and you can go ahead of us." Robinwing mumbled back. She arose from her spot and went over to the apprentices. Heading back to camp, Rainfoot searched for Fallenstar. She noticed his ginger pelt slipping into his den.  Regretting on having to do this, she climbed up to high rock and entered his den.

"Fallenstar, may we speak?" Rainfoot asked in a soothing voice.

"I guess, what do you want to speak about?" He asked, beckoning her to sit down with his long banner.

"Gravelpaw and Rosepaw's warrior names." Rainfoot meowed, keeping eye contact with her leader. It was odd speaking to him, he wasn't the leader who started the war with Shadowclan or made her become a warrior but yet she still disliked him.

"I assume it is time for them to join you and Robinwing in the warrior's den. What name would you suggest for Rosepaw?" He questioned in a cold hearted voice.

Lowering her gaze, Rainfoot responded quickly. "Rosepetal."

Fallenstar chuckled and resumed his serious state. "I'll arrange something of the sort." He smiled, then stalked out of the den.

"I, Fallenstar, leader of Thunderclan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend her to you as a warrior in her turn." Fallenstar began the ceremony in a warrior code tradition.

“Rosepaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" He carried on, looking down at Rosepaw with a dark glance.

 "I do." She yipped cheerfully.

"Then by the powers of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Rosepaw, from this moment you will be known as Rosethorn. StarClan honors your loyalty, and we welcome you as a full warrior of Thunderclan." Fallenstar ended. He flicked his banner, beckoning Rainfoot to welcome her to the warrior den. She turned away and stalked off towards Robinwing and Gravelclaw, once Gravelpaw only minutes ago.

"Rosethorn... what a name." Robinwing mumbled, obviously unimpressed.

"I didn't choose it! Fallenstar did!" Rainfoot hissed in fury at her fellow clanmate. All of a sudden an ear bleeding screech sounded.

"Shadowclan!" was the only word spoken inside the hollow camp. Yowls of anger rang throughout the camp. A small warrior leaped onto the back of Rosethorn, what happened next was terrifying. She flipped over and crushed the Shadowclan warrior. Then, Rosethorn grabbed the cat by the throat and flew them aside. Rainfoot stood in horror as the cat laid on the ground, dead.

"Rosethorn!" Fallenstar hissed as he was pinned by the Shadowclan leader, Talonstar. Rosethorn looked up at Talonstar and snickered evilly. She leaped for his throat and tore away.

"Rosethorn, you never kill a warrior or a leader!" Rainfoot screamed, hoping she had heard. It was obvious she didn't, Rosethorn went ahead and slashed Talonstar down the middle. Leaving him to have a life stolen from him, as he jerked on the ground.

I have created a monster!  Rainfoot thought in panic as she slashed at a Shadowclan tom. The battle was thinning out as the invading cats retreated. She managed to chase off the tom and look around for injured cats. It came to her attention that the medicine cat Flightheart wasn't helping bloodied cats. Climbing up to her den, Rainfoot stuck her head in a called out for her old mentor.

"Flighthea-" She stopped mid-sentence to see Flightheart laying on the moss covered ground. Her pelt was matted with blood, her blue eyes looking far and distant. She was another victim of the raid.

"Flightheart is dead!" Rainfoot screeched. She stumbled out of the medicine cat den in a hurry.

"Who is the new medicine cat? She had no apprentice!" Rockclaw yelled in panic. It was odd to see the deputy in such a shaken state.

"Rainfoot is the only hope! She was Flightheart's last apprentice!" Fallenstar announced. It was obvious he had lost a life, his pelt was matted and cuts showed on his flank.

"Fallenstar, come with me. I'll patch you up." Rainfoot mumbled, slowly walking back to the medicine cat den with him at her side. He sat down next to her as she gathered what seemed like the correct herbs.

"Shadowclan has a smart attack plan, killing off the medicine cat so she or he can’t help their clanmates." Fallenstar mumbled, eyeing Flightheart's body. "Don't think about it, you don’t need any more stress." Rainfoot grunted as she began to weave cobwebs into his wounds.

"I can't believe I'm the medicine cat again." She sighed. "I can't believe I made you do this." He moaned, looking away. He winced then snapped at Rainfoot as she trickled juice from a herb into his cuts.

"Don't get hurt then I wouldn't have to do this!" She snapped. After she was done, Rainfoot stalked out of the den with a heavy heart. Falllenstar trotted alongside Rainfoot as they weaved between the trees. His banner swisking in the sudden breeze.

"Since the past moon, don't you thing its odd on how many cats died from an unknown cause?" Rainfoot frowned. It only seemed days ago Gravelclaw was announced a warrior of Thunderclan. The heart breaking fact that he was given his title moons ago, but he was killed mysteriously days ago.

"I know, I've never seen anything like it." Fallenstar responded smoothly.

"Aren't you going to do something? Cats don't just die like that. Even I couldn't help them!" Rainfoot spun around and glared at him in disgust.

"Calm down Rainfoot! I think Rosethorn is behind this." He mumbled almost to himself.

"I actually agree with you, for once." She spat. Rainfoot trotted ahead.

"What have I done?" She hissed.

"Hello Rainfoot." Called out a menacing voice. Rainfoot spun on her hind paws to face Rosethorn.

"It seems so ironic for you to call me out on the deaths of the beloved clanmates." She snickered, pacing around Rainfoot slowly.

"Don't you dare..." Rainfoot stumbled over her own words as her once apprentice stalked forward.

"Fallen-" She attempted to screech, but Rosethorn cut her short by sending a blow to the ribs. Knocking her down to the sandy floor.

Rainfoot managed to regain her balance only to be sent tumbling down again.

“Old cat! You had to become a medicine because Fallenstar thinks you’re worthless!" Rosethorn screeched, pouncing at her again. Rolling out of the way, Rainfoot raked her claws along Rosethorn's exposed belly.

"I thought I taught you better!" Rainfoot taunted, it was obvious Rosethorn was frustrated.

"What is going on?" The powerful voice of Fallenstar shook Rainfoot.

She spun around to see his ginger pelt bristled in rage.

"Rainfoot! I never would think you would try to hurt any cat!" Fallenstar screeched in terror.

"No, you don't understand! Rosethorn tried to kill me!" Rainfoot pleaded for Fallenstar to come to his senses.

"But why is Rosethorn injured but you aren't?" He snapped.

No No No! I didn't hurt her on purpose! "She tried hurt me! I had to defend myself!" Cried Rainfoot.

"Fine... Both of you back to camp. Your clanmates will settle this." Fallenstar hissed, sending a disappointed glare towards Rainfoot.

"I've done nothing..." She whispered into Fallenstar's ear as the three cats shuffled back to camp.

"I know, Rosethorn will be so desperate to prove you guilty she'll snap." Fallenstar snickered back.

Wow... that’s evil. Rainfoot foot shrugged and continued onto the camp.

Standing in front of her clanmates horrified Rainfoot as they casted hateful glances her way. "Would a medicine cat really hurt someone?" An apprentice whispered in Robinwing's ear.

She shook her head and looked away. Come on Robinwing... You know I'm innocent!  Rainfoot shifted in her spot on Highrock as her clanmates filled the hollow.

“"Let all cats old enough to hunt gather to hear my words!" The voice of Fallenstar rang throughout the space that was already filled with cats curiously waiting. Beckoning Rainfoot to come over to him with his tail, Rainfoot obeyed the order and slowly stalked to take her place next to him.

“What are you doing?” Rainfoot snapped into Fallenstar’s ear. I’m going to be thrown out, I just now it! Someday Fallenstar will be punished for his actions.

“Don’t worry, I’ve got it all planned out.” Fallenstar chuckled lightly. He nudged her shoulder then quickly pulled away.

“Just get the show over with, I hate being judged by my clanmates for something I would never do!” Rainfoot snapped. She sent an angry glare at him, then returned her gaze to the crow impatiently waiting below.

“Today I bring you all here to hold a trial for both Rosethorn and Rainfoot for murder of fellow clanmates.” Fallenstar called out, finally beginning the meeting.

“What is this?” A small voice called out. A gray cat stepped out in front of the senior warriors and elders. Her sharp green eyes sliced between Rosethorn and Rainfoot,

“Cinderfur, once it is time to cast stones you may speak. Until then please stay silent.” Fallenstar mumbled in a dark tone, he was obviously unhappy about the young warrior speaking out of turn.

“Without further setbacks, we will begin the trial by casting stones. You may cast your stone to the left if you think Rosethorn committed the recent murders of our clanmates, cast your stone to the right if you think Rainfoot committed the recent murders of our clanmates.” Fallenstar called out, officially beginning the trails. Each cat walked up separately and casted a small stone to the left or right, most casted their stones to the left even though some cats accused Rainfoot of the crime.

“As they last stone is thrown into either side, it is clear the clan agrees with my accusing of Rosethorn killing her own clanmates.”
